Has anybody in UK or Japan postal services any idea why regular airmail post is taking almost 3 weeks between London and Tokyo? 5 years ago it was 4 or 5 days.
I don’t think it’s just the UK, my friend sent me a postcard from the US and it took over a month.
UK, Italy, New Zealand, New York & California customs is awful at the moment. I want to say staff shortage. The Post Office always gives me warnings about delays when sending to these locations.
A lot of the time, the delay when tracked, is between leaving Japan and being scanned into the country. I guess customs slow as fuck.
Yep. Used to exchange candies with my UK friend before COVID, and it would only take like a week or so. Sent a package few weeks ago, and took 2 weeks to get there!
Could be still due to covid. Like too expensive for company to go back to pre covid schedule and employments
I regularly get packages from the UK and it takes about a week maybe two at most.
I sent one registered mail from Japan to the UK last Saturday, and according to the tracking system it arrived in the country on Monday, but I don’t know from there.
