My plug for computer monitor came with a green/yellow wire which I learned was the ground/earth. I don’t see anything on the socket or near it where you can attach the grounding wire. What should I do? It’s currently plugged into a surge protector which also doesn’t have a ground wire.

Some places will have a grounding screw beneath the outlet for you to attach it to. Like [this.](https://tonetastic.info/library/photos/how-to-install-electrical-outlet-without-ground-wire-filejapanese-conditioner-electrical-outlet-jpg-wikimedia-37-9210.jpg) I haven’t seen one in a long time though.
The green/yellow ground cable is for your safety. If you see a green/yellow ground wire on an appliance, make sure to plug it into a surge protector.
