Any time you runs the numbers over long distance the answer will always be rail.
If you want truck drivers you increase salaries or bring in immigrants
That’s called a train and it has been around for 200 years.
An innovative solution would be to improve truckers’ working conditions
Wow ! After reinventing the train, what will be the next step ? Reinventing the wheel ?
I fail to see how this would be better, or more efficient, than a railway.
Improve signalling technology, improve container-handling ability at terminals and it will be much better and far, far less expensive than this conveyor belt idea.
This is nearly as bad as Musk’s hyperloop suggestion.
