I live in a multi family residence where I am the only foreigner.
This week I noticed that both on the electronic key lock to my apartment(where you press the card) as well as my front door some deep scratches appeared that werent there before. It’s definitely not normal use since other high traffic areas in the building are pristine.
It seems to me like one of the neighbors is doing the typical passive aggressive anti gaijin thing. The normal abuse you get (gum glued to my bike, slashed tires) I can take, but the door lock mechanism is pretty expensive.
I have considered installing a hidden camera at my front door but am not aware if this can be used against me (some privacy law) in case I catch the guy in the act. Will it even count as evidence?
I appreciate your advice.
