1. I’ve never read them, but Haruki Murakami is considered a good author by many people I trust

5. I think most Akutagawa’s works are on aozora bunko. I’ve read most of them, maybe you could try reading Kappa since it is very short.

   Otherwise I suggest you reading some short stories, ダウンタウン by Hayashi Fumiko is on Aozora too and quite short!

6. Yukio Mishima’s books are considered masterpieces and they involve an amalgamation of a lot of different things, his life was really interesting.
