I have completed Core10k and I think Core6k would have been enough.
Also cards in the 6k-10k range are lower quality: words themselves are fine, but translations are often bad and had to be fixed manually. Like a word that is too ambiguous, a meaning that is not the main one and/or is not the one used in example sentence etc. Sometimes example sentences had to be retranslated too. Also voice acting is text-to-speech, although decent enough.
I noticed problems when I was already far into it, so instead of dropping it I decided to manually fix poor cards (and it was rather tedious). If I knew this beforehand, I would have just started Core6k instead.
