Moving with family steps

Hi everyone. We are considering moving to Japan from Europe and I really need your insights.

My husband and I both have a masters degree in pharmaceutical studies, and are currently working for a midpharma company (sadly it doesn’t have a branch in Japan). We also have a 2,5 years old kid.

I’m currently studying Japanese, hoping to be on a sufficient level in 1 year or so… Because of this, I think the earliest possibility would be moving in 1-2 years maybe?

Should we both start applying at the same time for jobs? If one of us gets an offer first, I guess the other one can apply for a dependent visa and then work 28 hours if possible? I’m willing to work outside my field too until I manage to get something. We are open to work and live outside Tokyo too, but I think most companies are based in Tokyo.

Does anyone know if Japanese pharmaceuticals companies help with the relocation or offer some package?

How hard is it to find public schools for foreigners? Or we should consider private ones? I can’t say we are loaded either so I’m looking for a decent life there.

I hope I didn’t break any rules and thank you if you have some advice.
