I am a U.S. researcher and plan on traveling to Tokyo in September. Although I've been to Japan many times. I don't know the language and have no intention at my senior age to learn now. My topic might be sensitive, as it relates to pre-war Japanese military activities, although the research itself is rather mundane. Much of it at Diet Library and other places where pre-war books and magazines might be kept.
Lastly, I would like to attempt an interview with an elderly man whose grandfather was involved in the activity I am researching. He probably won't agree, but I must try.
If anyone has any recommendations I would be appreciative.
I also would like to know what the approximate amount these services should cost a day. I'll need this service for about five days.
Thanks in advance
