Disposing Large Desk

Ive never thrown away something this large before (its big enough for two monitors. has a built in shelf)

Can I just disassemble it myself, wrap it with a lot of rope and put a 粗大ゴミシール？ or do I have to call the city disposal people to come to my apartment (with no elevator and I live on the 4th floor) to come pick it up with me there in person?
