Thinking out loud and still exploring options, but thought to ask the more experienced: any recommendations for short trips from Tokyo?
I have a 7 day break coming up and looking to get out of Tokyo (doesn’t have to be that long). Have already been to most day trip locations so something further would be nice.
Places I’ve already been to:
* Osaka/Kyoto/Nara
* Enoshima/Kamakura
* Chiba (not just Disneyland)
* Kawaguchiko
* Kawagoe
* Nagano
* Nagoya
* Kanazawa
* Takayama/Shirakawa-go
* Hakone
* Yokohama
Currently researching the Izu Peninsula, Nikko. Domestic flights are okay too, open to any suggestions. Hope this post is okay, not asking for Tokyo travel advice, and currently residing here. Appreciate any replies!
