Ive been learning japanese through apps for a while now but I want to start supplimenting it with the graded readers too.
Ive been on duolingo for 250 days and am almost done with unit 2 of their course. I know all the hiragana and katakana, as well as at least some kanji.
Ive also been using busuu for about 200 days and im on chapter 6 of their "Elementary A2" section.
Between both apps i probably know 500-1000 words and ~100 kanji maybe but those are both estimates. I also know more just just desu/masu forms. I know mashou and -te forms too (although id like to practice -te form more)
The graded readers are about 30 bucks wach so i didnt wanna just willy nilly buy a whole bucnh to study from but I didnt see any previous posts on here of people describing more in detail what the levels of graded readers mean even though I see them suggested all the time so I thought id ask if anyone here could help
