Im 18, living in Australia, planning to fly to Japan in May (about 10 months from now) as thats when i turn 19, however ive never even been overseas and Im planning to do this alone. Ive already planned my plane tickets with return, and the airbnb i would like to stay (nothing has been booked yet). Im pretty good at planning and better at money managment so im mainly looking for advice or tips on things such as; travel tips (airport security, check ins), the dos and donts when traveling, culturally acceptable dos and donts in japan, if i should get travel insurance, and anything else that someone who wants to begin traveling should know. I plan to visit all the main tourist attractions but i also want to visit lesser know places and the country side, so if you have any reccommendations that would be great aswell.
