Kinosaki Onsen and Amanohashidate Question

I'm planning to travel along most of September this year, and I planned around doing a ryokan night in Kinosaki Onsen between my stays in Kyoto and Osaka. Upon further research, I noticed that Amanohashidate is not that far away from the onsen resort, so I imagined it would be really nice to stretch my trip a bit and take some steps at the viewland. Do you think it's realistic to do it? For those who already did something similar, do you think a particular order is better or worse regarding logistics? I was considering the following options:

  1. Current Choice: Leave Kyoto on the Kinosaki Express and enjoy the day at the baths, the town and the ryokan. The next day, leave at the morning to Amanohashidate on the Tango Relay, do some sightseeing and leave to Osaka station on the last Hankyu Kanko Bus (16:45, from the timetable I found).
  2. Alternative: Leave Kyoto on the Hashidate express, have a tour at Amanohashidate and leave at around 15:00 for Kinosaki Onsen. I'd drop at the ryokan at ~18:00, enjoy the night, and this would leave me the following day to enjoy the town. I'd then leave for Osaka on the Kounotori or Hamakaze Express (~17:00).

I don't plan to visit Ine or to stay the night in the Amanohashidate region too, and I'm not using a JR regional pass here. Although I'm leaning on not following a strict schedule, this an unavoidable special case on the last leg of my trip. Thanks for reading, and any feedback is welcome!
