Hello Y’all! Wife and I will be spending two weeks in Japan for our honeymoon and would like any advice on our trip. We are looking to have one maybe two things planned for the day and just wing the rest. The bolded text next to the days are the "Must have" the rest are flexible.
Tokyo looking for cool izakaya spots & street food, Jazz/funk bars or any hidden gems
Hakone Biggest concern is traveling from here to Shizunami. Should I send luggage ahead and travel light?
Shizunami content with plopping my ass on the sand and not doing anything
Kyoto any must see places we do not have listed
side mission: would love to see a sumo wrestling match (I saw a sumo wrestling "show" on viator but it doesn't look like a real match)
Day 1 Travel
Land at Haneda airport 5:30 pm on 7/1. I have arranged via booking.com for a taxi cab to take us to our hotel Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingu-Gaien Tokyo Premier in Shinjuku. When booking it says cab driver can track our flight and will wait 45 minutes after landing. Will this be enough time for us to go through customs and find our driver? I would like to buy pocket wifi’s and have them sent to our hotel so I don’t have to buy one in the airport.
