Hello everyone, posting for the first time in this subreddit (or Reddit as a whole lol). I’ve been accepted into Kyoto University to do my Master’s studies in viral evolution/ecology and I was wondering if anyone has any prior experience working with/studying bioinformatics in Japanese universities. (For context, I pursued a biotechnology degree for my undergrad and didn’t quite enjoy the wet-lab aspect of it as much as I thought I would. After a lot of thought and research, I decided to pursue a career in bioinformatics, focusing on the fields of microbiology or molecular biology)
