I am currently on the professor visa and my residency card will expire in fall this year. I won't be renewing the residency as I'm leaving Japan for good. I also have a Rakuten debit card (valid for another couple of years).
My question is, will the card / Rakuten bank account automatically be closed once my residency expires? Do I need to do anything to close my account online? If anyone has experience with the closing process, could you share how it works? Thanks 🙏
