How common are rallies like this one compared to europe or the US?
I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that they are protesting in favor of NOT revising the laws. Somebody died, so the laws should be revised, right?
Then I realized that they opposing a revision that would see stricter laws.
It’s a shame that people are having to protest just to keep things as bad as they are, and not to make things better.
Right-wing ultranationalist groups are usually the ones who organize such protests. Their views are not mainstream. I wouldn’t consider a protest group of 70 people to be significant. That was probably the entire Nagoya chapter.
