Hello, I am heading to Japan from UK soon and have been trying to find out as much as possible beforehand.
A lot of sites recommend different things regarding the use of phones, I have seen buying a new sim card recommended and also buying a portable internet modem.
What do you think is the best option? I spoke to someone who told me they got neither but had their phone on airplane mode and used the wifi in different buildings to help get around. Is this a good option?
