Considering starting a boutiqe clothing brand and shop in Tokyo. But while I have cool design ideas, I have zero experience with retail and of course, it'd be good to validate that my design ideas can actually sell. So while I can get the first batch of designs produced, I'm not sure what the best next steps to validate these designs are going in the right direction could be – getting a space rented feels expensive and premature. There are these rental spaces / マルシェ shopcounter is advertising, but not sure how much inventory might be needed for setting up a table for a day. Online feels tricky for clothing and probably crowded, not sure how to put the design in front the potential customers in practice…
