  1. My boy made a career off of clean masks, fried chicken and a dope suicide dive.

    My Goat

  2. He’s certainly one of the rare cases of “style over substance” where he actually has plenty of “substance,” it’s just that his style is absolutely next level enough to completely overshadow him actually being really good.

  3. Bushi has plenty of substance.

He just had the misfortune of being put in a chad stable. And someone always has to eat the pin.

  4. Maybe recent fans don’t know this, but Bushi is a solid at worst wrestler who has had a pretty accomplished career. Former Junior Champ, Junior Tag Champ, 5x NEVER 6-Man Champ, CMLL Welterweight Champ, 2010 Junior Tag League winner. Pretty impressive career for a guy who didn’t even come up from the Noge Dojo.

  5. We should not stand for Bushi slander. The guy can go and has a great spot where he shows up, hits the Busarooni after the dropkick, some knees in the corner, then eats a pin.

  6. There’s dozens of wrestlers who if you take their entrance away are way below BUSHI’s level.

Proud of myself for not just targeting Taichi directly there

  7. He’s probably the most talented pin eater in NJPW. If he wasn’t in LIJ, he’d be more prolific as a Junior but someone needs to unfortunately eat the pin for LIJ.

  8. I feel like he’s just booked badly by proxy, as there’s no one else in LIJ they really like to let lose too often. I can’t think of a BUSHI match that was ever less than passable, he’s super consistent, and on a good night can steal the show with any Jr. on the roster.

  9. What about Tama Tonga? Great look, great aura, extremely smooth at his moves, but kinda mid when it comes to the actual matches

  10. Dude has been slick and can wrestle well. He’s just a bit overshadowed in his supposed heyday by the likes of KUSHIDA and Hiromu. I fear that Wato / DOUKI might wind up that way

  11. I believe he is a big fish in a big pond. LIJ is too stacked with talent that even Bushi seems he’s on the lower end of the group

  12. I remember when he wrestled Ospreay for the junior belt and I believed he had a legit chance at winning lol

  13. Bushi is weird. In almost any other company, he would be a stand-out talent. He’s smooth, works well with most opponents, drip god, His moves usually pop a crowd, and the MX is an all-time great finisher.

However, in New Japans Jr Divison, he’s…average at best.

  14. He’s probably not getting near the IWGP Jr. Title again but he seems comfortable in his role as LIJ’s fall guy who can hit a few big spots in tag matches, get paid and go home
