It's not unusual to come across some kind of dessert in Japan that is made to be visually stunning, but as soon as you think about it a bit, it doesn't taste that good.
This fried butter is the first time that I immediately considered something appaling.
Few days ago I started seeing this video of butter fried in cake batter in JR lines in Tokyo. It feels like it's supposed to be one of those visually stunning desserts, but this time the idea of eating half melted butter, then having to smell it for the rest of the day is just no. Especially as you can still see half of the butter has not melted.
Is anyone out there who would love to eat such thing?
