Hello! Please forgive this incredibly ignorant question. I'm extremely new to anything finance related and am trying to deal with this in Japanese, which is making everything much harder.
I recently opened a NISA account with PayPay and purchased some eMAXIS Slim オールカントリー a week or two ago. However, when I did that, I didn't realize that the NISA account itself was still in the process of being approved, so I'd actually made the deposit into the taxable specific account (tokutei kouza). I quickly sold those since I'd wanted the money to go into NISA, but in the few short days I had money in that account, I could see valuation gains (評価損益) clearly on my dashboard. Now that my NISA's been properly opened and I've bought eMAXIS Slim 米国株式 with the NISA growth account (成長投資枠), I no longer see any valuation gains or losses (just reads 0.00%, +/- 0円). I can see the change in assessed value of owned assets compared to the previous day (前日比), but no valuation gains like I was able to see when my money was in my taxable specific account. I've had this money in the NISA account since the 13th, so longer than I had money in the taxable specific account, but no gains or losses have ever shown. Just been 0.00%, +/- 0円 since it hit my NISA account.
I'm still stumbling my way through navigating how this all works, so I'm not sure if I've done anything wrong and would like to figure it out before I make any more investments. I'd really appreciate any insight anyone can offer, thank you!
