1st time visiting Japan, I understand how to utilize the pass for metros, trains and subways. However, how does it work in buses? Do japanese buses have turnstile-like machines where I can insert the pass?
AFAIK all the passes are not IC cards so you cannot tap them. For the trains you insert it in the ticket slot. For bus I don’t have experience using it before but according to this [video](https://youtu.be/r-I1n99MrXY?t=2m3s) the bus should have a similar slot.
There’s also a kind of an [upgraded version](https://www.osp.osaka-info.jp/en/) of this pass that gives you free access to a ton of tourist attractions in osaka.
I suggest you bring out the calculator and the scheduler to know if you can save a lot of money with that pass. (Pretty sure you will).

Also in my opinion the pass is kind of a rip off. This [pass](https://subway.osakametro.co.jp/en/guide/page/enjoy-eco.php) for osaka only costs 820 yen on weekdays and 620 yen on weekends and holidays.
