Hi, as everyone knows, Tokyo and Yokohama PR wait times are incredibly long (latest information suggests at least 13 months, could be much longer for people who submit their PR application right now). I was wondering whether moving to another prefecture for ~6-12 months would work for PR? Has anyone tried this?
My work is remote and flexible so I would be able to work anywhere within Japan
I would go the route of HSFP 1 year 80 points. I have well beyond 80 points so this should not be a problem
My plan is to get a year or two year contract for housing elsewhere and then apply for PR within that prefecture within a month of moving in (would this affect things like validity at all?)
