Renewing Drivers licence soon and that stupid depth perception test always stresses me out.

The one with two tiny matchsticks on each side and another moving matchstick in between, and you have to shout "now!" when the the middle one hits the same point as the other two.

Anyone know of a testing centre in Tokyo that doesn't have this ridiculous test? My eyes are fine, my depth perception is fine, I just have trouble seeing the damn hairlike stick in the antiquated taped-up box, especially while getting yelled at by the guy operating the thing.

I also fail to see the correlation between passing this test and my ability to see how close I am to to getting mown down by a truck. Or how not being able to see a tiny stick makes me any more dangerous than a woman putting on makeup, a truck driver on his phone/drinking coffee/smoking all at once, or a guy watching TV whose kids are all over the dashboard, unfettered by a pesky seatbelt, let alone a child seat.

Apologies for finishing my request with a rant, I get insomnia just thinking about this dumb test.
