Hello. I (foreigner) recently got married to my husband (japanese) and am taking his last name. I am already in the process of changing my last name in my country. While reading about name changes and such I stumbled upon 通称名 which I strongly consider because I want to be able to go by his Kanji as well.
I have a pretty long first name and two middle name names so you can imagine how annoying that is in day to day life. Now my question is, could I register my 通称名 as just (my first name) (his last name in kanji) so that I could go by just those two?
