Hi there folks, I have a trip to Japan coming up in September, and I was hoping to get some advice for the Mt. Fuji Five Lakes region?… I have been to Japan twice before and so I am pretty confident when it comes to travelling within the cities and will act as a sort of "guide" for my group, but I've never been to Mt. Fuji. This time, I decided to hire a car so that the journey to / from the area is easier (from Tokyo) and have my international driving license to boot, but I am actually clueless about what to do when we arrive there. Now we're not planning to do the Mt. Fuji climb itself – (there's six of us, and not everyone is fit enough) but I think we're okay for some light to medium activity!
Above is my current itinerary (I know, very packed), but I am sharing to give you an idea of the level of detail that I am going into with this trip. So my plan is to have maybe 1 to 3 location specific activities, (can be anything from a trek to a museum visit), but we're hoping that we'll at least find a good spot we could drive to for photos that is out of town enough to avoid the places plagued by over-tourism (I know that's a big wish these days).|
Edit: The Mt. Fuji trip is a Monday, "Day 18" of our trip, if you want to know where to look :+1:
