“Native” english speaker?

Hello,

I have been mulling trying something new for a while, decided maybe a year of living abroad in japan would be a good start (recently came back from a trip and had an insanely good time).

From what i can tell, finding an english teaching position is going to be a good way for me to do it, however, I wanted clarification on who is considered a native english speaker.

For a quick background: i moved with my family to the US when i was about 15-16, have lived here ever since, even before i moved here my english was pretty good. Today, it still is, i dont really have an accent of any kind. Would the issue of me not being from the US originally be an issue? (I also have a middle eastern name)

Just wondering if any one who a similar background to me has had any issues.

Thanks!

Edit:forgot to add some additional context, ive been living in the US for over 10 years. I am currently 27.5 years old.
