So what is the point of the new, fancy facial recognition gates at some of the Osaka Metro stations? They say they are for staff only. So, they removed one of the gates and replaced it with one that 99.9% of people can't use. What? Are there that many Metro Staff members going through the gates every day that they need their own? Maybe I can use these gates but just haven't tried. Anyone know about these things?
