Hello,
I just purchased an authentic cotton Japanese futon from futontokyo online. I know that to keep in good shape and avoid mold growth to air it out about once per week.
Well, I decided to buy a normal American standard cotton mattress topper to put on top of the futon to make it more firm to sleep. I have the topper on top, futon in the middle, then tatami mats on the bottom. My floor is hardwood. My question is, since I put the topper on top, should I still be airing the futon out once per week, less, or hardly at all?
