Hello everyone! Is there anyone who currently enrolled to the PhD program in OIST? Could you, guys, give me some insides? As I understood, the stipend is 200k yen monthly before taxes. What is the exact stipend after taxes? Can you apply for additional positions as a research assistant or something else in order to get additional income? Will it be tight to live for the family of three with toddled only on stipend? Should I obtain the drivers license or the public transportation is enough? Also typhoons, are they severe, how often they happens and is it safe in Okinawa overall? Also, please DM me, if you can share your experience on interview process. Thanks for everyone on advance 🙂
