Hello! As the title states, this may be a longshot but I am hoping the Reddit sleuths in this sub may be able to assist in helping me make a family connection.
My family is looking to travel for a reunion to Nago and we would like to see if we have any family there. My great grand parents were from Nago but immigrated to Hawaii. Upon speaking with my great-aunt before she passed, she was able to provide the following details of a cousin she visited in the early 80’s (maybe around 1982-1984.) The maiden name of this cousin who did have children is Miyagi or Miyagusuku. She married a Kuda and they had a Tofu factory in Nago.
Unfortunately that is all the details I have as aunty was unable to remember anything else in her state at the time. I appreciate any idea or information to tofu factories in the 1980’s for the area. Any ideas or suggestions on where I can look to make any connections would also be greatly appreciated! I do have ancestryDNA and was unable to make any distance connections there.
