International Tax Question: UK Citizen Working Freelance Outside Japan

I’m a UK citizen living in Japan for Less than 4 years and considered a non-permanent resident.
I’m freelancing physically outside Japan for a foreign company while temporarily in a foreign country for about a month.
My earnings is remitted into my UK bank account, with no remittance to Japan. I’ve spent one day in the UK recently (my parents are there though)

Given Japan’s non-remittance rule for non-permanent residents, my physical absence from Japan while working, and my limited ties to the UK, am I correct in understanding that I likely don’t need to pay income tax on this work in Japan but only the UK?
