Itinerary check. Travel dates August 26th to September 1st. Family of four, two adults, two kids ages 9 and 4 (with a stroller)

Hello! Just want an itinerary check for our upcoming trip. Please feel free to suggest any changes. If I miss some places it’s because we’ve been there. This itinerary was built around requested spots and activities for our kids. Note: we’re staying near Tsukiji/Ginza so every evening will be spent in the neighborhood except first night.

August 26th (Arrival in Tokyo)

  • Arrive at Narita Airport at 3 pm
  • Take the train (Keisei Sky Access) to Takaracho station

  • Spend the evening exploring Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai

August 27th (Tokyo)

  • Morning: Visit Asakusa Sensoji Temple
  • late morning to lunchtime: Head to Akihabara and explore Radio Kaikan, anime, and electronic stores
  • late afternoon to early evening: head to Shibuya: Shibuya crossing and Shibuya scramble.
    -Ginza

August 28th (Tokyo)

  • Visit Meiji Shrine in the morning.
  • Animate in Ikebukuro pokemon mega center.
  • Ueno (alternative to Tsukiji food exploration)
    -Ginza

August 29th (Tokyo)

-Cup Noodle Museum and Yodabashi Camera in Yokohama (to buy Nintendo Switch console for my son’s birthday gift?)
– Gundam factory? Is this still open?
– afternoon: Shinjuku: Kabukicho area
-Ginza

August 30th (Travel to Kyoto)

  • Morning: Check out of hotel and take the Shinkansen to Kyoto around 9AM
  • Afternoon: Check into hotel and explore Gion District and Nishiki Market

August 31st (Kyoto)

  • Full-day city tour of Kyoto

September 1st (Departure)

  • Morning: Check out and head to Narita Airport for our 3pm flight. Leaving Kyoto at 8AM.

How’s the weather during these dates?

What’s the most efficient and cost-effective way to travel from Kyoto to Narita airport? Is our schedule too tight? Leaving at 8AM to make it to Narita around 12PM.

Do we need separate suica cards for our two young kids?

Luggage forwarding? What’s the pros and cons? I plan to just bring our stuff on our own though (Tokyo to Kyoto and Kyoto to Narita airport)

Thanks and peace to all!
