I'm going to Tokyo area in late October – early November with my best friend. Can you recommend places outside Tokyo that are worth 1 night? 2 nights only if the place is really great / worth it. Otherwise, I just wanna do 1 night. Preferably the place is accessible by JR Tokyo Wide pass, as it seems the most reasonable JR pass for this use.
My plan currently is to visit Kawaguchiko (a must, not replaceable) and Kusatsu onsen in Gunma (replaceable if there are better places).
