End of employment health insurance: go on national health insurance or continue on shakai kenkou hoken?

I’m not sure which one would be financially better while I’m employment.

Also, I have various medical neeeds – what happens in the period until I get the card delivered? I’ll still be needing to go to the hospital- will I get a document or something stating they’re processing my card?
