I am currently 15 and will be 16 by the time I finish my junior year. I have good grades and went to Japanese School every Saturday until 9th grade and graduated. My Japanese is ok, but I plan to study a bit more and take the n1 test. I want to go to a decent high school but don't know if it is worth it. I really want to live in Japan when I grow up and possibly go to college there as well. I can speak Japanese fluently, but I am worried about my knowledge of the words and grammar. Kanji is also kinda scary. I was wondering if I was to transfer would it be better to transfer into 10th grade or 11th grade. Also, how would I transfer? Would I take an entrance exam or a transfer exam? Would the test knowledge be harder than what I learned in 9th grade Japanese school? I also heard that some students only go to school for like four hours and then go to cram school for like six hours later. Is cram school necessary to go into a decent/good college? Would the social life suck because of the studying? I currently am taking a good amount of Aps and play sports but still have time to hang out and do what I want to do. Even if I was to pass the n1 or have a sufficient language how would I compare to the students who have spent their whole life speaking Japanese? I have some relatives in Japan so moving and living there would not be a problem. The only problem is my Japanese and convincing my parents.
