Hello reddit, I finally got my husband to Japan last month and its official: we're in love and we want to move.
I know what job I want to do while there, but web search isn't really giving me answers. I want to work in landscape management of literally any kind, but preferably urban– clipping back trees to keep roadways clear, pulling weeds from side walks, cutting back over grown vines along barrier walls, you get the idea. I know they have teams of people who keep the plants in Tokyo in check, because I've seen them at work. That's what I want to do–not work in temple gardens or whatever the web is trying to convince me to do.
Does any one know of specific companies that specialize is urban plant management, or do they know of the specific job title I may be looking for? I'm not necessarily needing Tokyo, I also saw a group of people in Akita clearing overgrowth from a road and thought it looked like what I wanted to do too.
