Japanese need to get over the idea that a 10 minute trip home needs to have absolutely frozen conditions for cold foods. Stick the stuff in a cold bag and it will be fine for the 20 second walk to your car that has the AC running already, an 8 minute drive home and 20 second walk to your freezer.
