My girlfriend and I are climbing Mount Fuji September 9-10.
We are climbing it on September 9th and staying the night at 7th Station. We’ve estimated 3-4 hours to get there.
I’ve heard when hiking when it’s hot and high altitude you need to drink 0.5 liter an hour.
I am looking for advice as we would like to only have one backpack/Camelpak. How big a size would we need?
I was thinking we would refill at 7th station before doing the ascent to the top on September 10th which is estimated to take 3.5-4 hours and then go back down to take the bus back to Toyko which is another 3.5 hours-4 hours so I’m thinking for 8 hours two people 20 L water would probably be safe.
I’m not sure if you can refill at the top of the mountain.
So I’m wondering suggestions by other people what Camelpak or water back to buy and do we each need one?
I would also preferably have a littler one for going around Tokyo and Osaka. I appreciate your help. Thank you
