Does anyone have experience with either of these hotels? I've been looking through reviews and have seen comments on both saying that they are a bit dated. Sunroute is about $770 while Kadoya is $400. I'm willing to pay more for better amenities, but if the quality of the two is similar, I'd rather go based on price. Both are a good distance from shinjuku station.

I’ve stayed at the Sunroute. Very good location, close to the train station. Has a restaurant inside near the lobby. Only thing I didn’t like was there was a window into the bathroom. But *all* hotels seem to be doing that these days for whatever reason.
But I can’t imagine it offers anything the other hotel doesn’t also. I’d say go with the cheaper one if money is important.
