Might be a weird question but I want to know if you could put a paper on them and hatch over with a pen to get the motive. Like what you probably did as a kid with coins and stuff.
If they have a flat surface and are only painted I figure it won´t work and I wont take art stuff with me to Japan.

The drawings are made with black lines and there is paint in between them.
Looking at my pictures all of the paint is lower then the black lines, so it should be possible.
But you would need a very large piece of paper.
