Is cybersecurity a good career in Japan?

I am in my sophomore year right now and can speak little bits of japanese. I have the OSCP and eJPT, working on PNPT right now. Currently I work part time as a Pentester for a startup. I have japanese as a subject in my uni and can work on jlpt through the next three years.
I would like to know if being a pentester is a decent career in Japan and how could I boost my profile to fit japanese companies’ requirements. I am not sure about moving to japan, but i am keen on keeping this option open for when I get out of college.

Also, i dont see many intern oppurtunities being floated on websites like linkendin or glassdoor for japanese companies, do they have a different portal for that? I would love to visit(for an intern) and gauge the living conditions to be 100% sure before moving obv.

Thanks.

  1. Oh boy I wonder why JAPANESE companies arent posting intern opportunities on ENGLISH websites like linkedin or glassdoor its so weird

  2. Cyber ain’t entry level, you’re gonna want experience first. Certs aren’t experience and aren’t huge in Japan. eJPT is useless in Japan
