First time spicy crab roll


I couldnt find sushi rice so my first try was with instant, fan dried with sugar and rice wine vinegar. I know this is probably a sin pls dont hate me.

Used krab, cucumber, green onion, spicy mayo, toasted sesame seeds.

Even with my sharpest knife, i feel the cutting is the hardest part.

Any tips?

    Tips: use a sharp knife and wipe after every cut.

    Try not to double wrap the nori, it gets tough to chew.

    Don’t overdo it with the rice. Keep a good balance.

  2. It’s home sushi, there are no sins at home, lol

    Take out the sesame seeds and I would actually eat this as a quick home meal. I might break up the krab more since I really don’t like the texture of krab, but it looks fine

  3. This looks good, especially for a first try. I’d leave out the sesame. Isn’t the worst part that you now have ingredients to make probably 76 more rolls? And then you realize restaurants charge $5-10 for what you just pictured?
