Hello, I'm already in Japan on a business trip and my partner is landing at HND this afternoon for us to take a vacation. We had planned an overnight trip to Hiroshima for tomorrow before staying in Kyoto, but that's obviously not happening. Instead, I extended our stay in Kyoto since it looked like we could probably get there tomorrow morning from where we'll be staying tonight (smaller city in Kyoto region).
What advice do you have for weathering the typhoon in Kyoto?
Should we stock up on food and water?
Will businesses remain open?
Etc…
