what does a る with tenten mean? I understand close to none japanese, when stumbling upon manga strips I just try to read along and stumbled upon this (last panel, first bubble).
These cases where there’s no different reading for the kana (あ、な、ま、ら、わ、や rows, and ん) it’s just indicating a more guttural sound to the pronunciation. Growling, shouting, or as in this case, sobbing.
