Hi everyone! I have a little bit of a plan together for mine and my wife's first trip to Japan but want to check my general itinerary is feesable for the time of year before I start booking and planning more activity and site seeing levels. Any tips are much appreciated!

- Travel day. Fly from Manchester to Haneda.
**Day 2 (22nd Dec):*\*
- Land at Haneda at 7 AM.
- Travel to hotel in Shibuya, Tokyo.
- Casual day exploring Tokyo to recover from jet lag.
**Day 3 (23rd Dec):*\*
- Full day exploring Tokyo.
**Day 4 (24th Dec):*\*
- Check out of hotel, explore more of Tokyo.
- Travel to Disney Hotel and check in.
**Day 5 (25th Dec – Christmas Day):*\*
- Full day at Disney Sea.
**Day 6 (26th Dec):*\*
- Full day at Disneyland.
**Day 7 (27th Dec):*\*
- Check out of Disney hotel.
- Travel to Kanazawa, check in, explore the area.
**Day 8 (28th Dec):*\*
- Explore Kanazawa in the morning.
- Travel to Takayama, check in at a ryokan.
**Day 9 (29th Dec):*\*
- Full day exploring Takayama, relax at the ryokan.
**Day 10 (30th Dec):*\*
- Check out, explore more of Takayama.
- Travel to Kyoto and check in.
**Day 11 (31st Dec – New Year's Eve):*\*
- Full day exploring Kyoto.
**Day 12 (1st Jan – New Year's Day):*\*
- Day trip to Nara, return to Kyoto in the evening.
**Day 13 (2nd Jan):*\*
- Check out of Kyoto hotel, explore more of the city.
- Travel to Tokyo and check in.
**Day 14 (3rd Jan):*\*
- Full day exploring Tokyo.
**Day 15 (4th Jan):*\*
- Last full day exploring Tokyo.
**Day 16 (5th Jan):*\*
- Early flight back to Manchester.

- We’ve already booked Disney for the 25th/26th of December.
- We’re hoping to stay at a ryokan with a private Onsen in Takayama.
- Any tips on things to do during New Year’s in Kyoto?
- Nervous that places will be closed or fully booked between Christmas and New Year
- Would appreciate advice on must-do activities or hidden gems in these areas!
