Good day everyone I’m searching for a foreigner and budget friendly driving school around tokyo (nearby). If you have a recommended one just comment. Thanks
If you’ve had a driving license before and know how to drive, you can simply take the driving tests. School is not required. That’s what I did, so I am not able to help with a recommendation.
If you have a current drivers license from your home country you can take a short course driving test without going to a driving school. However, I don’t recommend you take the test without practicing first. I took the test three times before I passed it. There are retired driving instructors, police officers, and test examiners who hang out at the test stations and can be hired as tutors. After the second time I failed the test I hired one, went to the test station on a Sunday, rented a test car, and practiced on the test course for two hours, getting tips from the tutor on the techniques necessary to past the test. The tutor I hired was also well-known among the test examiners there. Needless to say, I passed on the third try.
