Has anyone had experience with converting their student visa to a J-Find visa?
Seems like the J-Find would allow me to stay in Japan even in the (I think not so likely) event I don’t find a job next year when my student visa ends.
My language school always stressed that students need to find a job before their visa expires. My Japanese is N4 now, hopefully N3 then N2 in 1 year. But still, it would be comforting knowing I can have more time to find a job. Does spending 2 years as a student affect my eligibility for the J-Find? (As in you have to move from outside Japan and not convert from Working Holiday or Student or something).
(I will still be under the required 5 years from graduation next year).
