App was worthless to begin with
1.3 *billion* yen for that useless app???
Jesus what a waste. All it is, is an inconvenience.
Still better use of money than a Abe funeral
We had the same stuff with the private owned luca app in Germany. Now as it lost its relevance it is redesigned but not useful.
Apart from showing how many days since I’ve downloaded it, the app was totally useless.
TF happened to the 1.3 billion yen?
Don’t worry. As long as it looks like it’s useful, it is useful.
Just a reminder, this is the app that didn’t work with the latest versions of smartphone operating systems.
It also completely failed to work with all Android phones and they didn’t even notice that it wasn’t working for months. It’s an app that has ONE function, and nobody bothered to check if it was even working or not? Blows my mind.
They could have paid a couple of computer science students a few grand each and got them to make a better app.
At around 10 million USD, at least it was not as expensive as that outrageous Olympic contact tracing app that cost an eyewatering $67 million USD. Something is not right with that.
